LS Power Completes Purchase of Generating Assets from PPL Corporation

The LS Power Group (“LS Power”) completed its purchase of three generating assets from PPL Corporation adding approximately 900 megawatts of capacity to LS Power’s electricity generating portfolio. The generating assets acquired from PPL Corporation include the following:

  • Safe Harbor (Pennsylvania) – One-third interest in 421 megawatt hydroelectric station
  • University Park (Illinois) – 540 megawatt natural gas-fired simple cycle
  • Wallingford (Connecticut) – 225 megawatt natural gas-fired simple cycle
