Darpan Kapadia

Darpan Kapadia joined LS Power in 2004 and serves as Chief Operating Officer.

Darpan is a member of the Firm’s Management Committee and Investment Committee, overseeing one of the largest power generation, transmission, and energy infrastructure companies in the United States. Prior to being named COO in 2017, Darpan was Head of Strategy for the Firm. Previously, Darpan was a Vice President at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Investment Management Division and prior to that, he was a Senior Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP providing strategic and financial advisory services to corporations.

Darpan received a B.A. in Economics with Phi Beta Kappa honors from the College of William and Mary and an M.B.A. with highest distinction from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Darpan is a member of the investment committees of Edge Principal Advisors, Verance Capital, and Marmora Capital, three LS Power affiliated companies that invest across real estate, sports, media and alternative investments. He also serves on the board of directors for electric vehicle charging company EVgo, renewables and energy storage platform REV Renewables, renewable, renewables company Clearlight Energy, and global risk management advisory firm K2 Integrity. He is also Chairman of the William and Mary Foundation Board of Trustees and a member of the Kellogg Private Equity Advisory Council. Furthermore, Darpan serves as a member of the Board of Leaders at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business and the USC Marshall Business of Energy Initiative Advisory Council.
