LS Power Completes Acquisition of Illinois Power Generation Facilities from NRG Energy

LS Power Equity Advisors, through a private fund it manages, has closed on the acquisition of two simple-cycle natural gas-fired facilities from NRG Energy, Inc. The NRG facilities acquired include the following:

  • Aurora Generating Station (Aurora, IL) – 878 MW simple-cycle natural gas-fired facility
  • Rockford I and II Energy Center (Rockford, IL) – 450 MW simple-cycle natural gas-fired facility
