LSPGNY Supports Capital District YMCA and Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY

LS Power Grid New York (LSPGNY) helped fellow community members celebrate Thanksgiving this year by donating over $11,000 to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY and Capital District YMCA.

LSPGNY has teamed up with the New York Capital District YMCA for their 2021 Thanksgiving Basket Brigade, an event that has been bringing joy to those in need at Thanksgiving since 2016.  Serving over 580 families last year alone, LSPGNY was proud to participate this year in providing 125 baskets filled with turkey and all the thanksgiving fixings, including classic favorites such as gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoes, and cranberry sauce.

LS Power Grid New York fleet loaded and delivered these Thanksgiving baskets to homes in the surrounding communities of Altamont, Schenectady, Slingerlands, Voorheesville, Duanesburg and Guilderland.

During a year where many families experienced hardship due to the pandemic, we are thankful for the opportunity to support our surrounding communities!
