LS Power’s Cross Texas Transmission Supports The Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center
LS Power’s Cross Texas Transmission (CTT) group supported The Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center by donating $3,000 towards their efforts. In 1989, The Bridge opened the first child advocacy center in Texas, where they began building what is now a comprehensive, child-focused program that offers an effective and swift approach to child abuse investigations. The Bridge allows law enforcement, mental health professionals, prosecutors, and child protection professionals to work together to help victims of child abuse and sexual assault.
“Last year, because of generous donors like you, The Bridge conducted 1,557 forensic interviews and approximately 526 case reviews. We provided safety and prevention education and community education to more than 10,000 children and adults. In addition, we funded over 320 counseling sessions for clients, and over 2,520 families received advocacy services. Local donations, such as the one from you, make these services possible.”
-Mollie Swafford, Development Director
A portion of Cross Texas Transmission’s donation will be applied to the Heroes & Legends event on March 29, where former Dallas Cowboy players Ed Jones, Danny White, and Randy White will be joining. This event will take place at the Amarillo Civic Center and feature a silent auction where additional proceeds will be raised towards The Bridge’s efforts of healing and justice for the victims.
We appreciate the opportunity to donate to The Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center and support their mission to aid “A Child’s Path to Healing and Justice.” To learn more about how you can also assist their cause, please visit https://www.bridgecac.org/support-us.
