LS Power and Southern Power Complete Generating Asset Transaction

The LS Power Group (“LS Power”) and Southern Power completed their previously announced transaction related to the West Georgia and DeSoto generating plants. Southern Power acquired the West Georgia plant from LS Power in exchange for the DeSoto plant and other proceeds. The West Georgia plant is a 600 megawatt natural gas-fired simple cycle facility in Thomaston, Georgia. The DeSoto plant is a 320 megawatt natural gas-fired simple cycle facility in Arcadia, Florida.
