Cross Texas Transmission Supports Local Food, Health and Youth Programs

LS Power Group’s Cross Texas Transmission (CTT) is pleased to serve its surrounding communities with donations totaling over $83,000 year-to-date in 2021 to support local organizations and foundations focused on improving health and education, hunger relief, youth programs, and more.

Over the past year, CTT has contributed to important charitable organizations that help our daily lives function, including Medical Center League House, Caritas of Austin, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Meals on Wheels, Central Texas Food Bank, and Mobile Loaves and Fishes just to name a few.

The Central Texas Food Bank was especially grateful to receive support following the winter storm that hit Texas earlier this year in February.

“Many families found themselves without running water, grocery stores suddenly ran out of food, and many homes were destroyed as a result of frozen pipes.  Many Central Texans are now faced with the difficult decision to either repair their home or buy food.  Our organization has stepped up to meet the growing need by hosting more food distributions.  No one should have to choose between feeding their family and repairing their home so it is livable and safe again.”

– Derrick Chubbs, President and CEO of Central Texas Food Bank

CTT also supports youth programs, including ones that offer kids the chance to partake in the longstanding tradition and sport of rodeo in Texas. Organizations CTT has supported include Childress Old Settlers Rodeo, the oldest continuously running rodeo in the state of Texas, as well as the Junior Rodeo Cowboys Association (JRCA), which helps kids across Northwest Texas, the Texas Panhandle and Western Oklahoma learn about professionalism, friendly competition, and excellence through the sport of rodeo in an encouraging environment.

We are grateful to have the opportunity to support our neighbors and welcome you to learn more about these and other great organizations in your communities!
